About Us
We are a diverse group of people who have a common interest in and love of poetry. Since 1983, the group has encouraged poetry writing through:
- regular meetings that include:
- break-out groups where poems are subjected to supportive peer group scrutiny
- ten minute slots where members read a selection of their poems to the whole group
- workshops run by members or visiting poets
- our annual poetry competition: Sonnet or Not
Cannon Poets Meetings
Cannon Poets face to face meetings are bi-monthly, held at the Moseley Exchange, Post Office Building, 149-153, Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8JP [see map] usually the first Sunday of each alternate month, 2pm - 5pm. On intervening months, we meet on Zoom from 3pm to 5pm. Please see details below.
