John Mason

John is a native of Coventry, but also proud of some Birmingham ancestry. After a career in the Police Service he has engaged in voluntary work with the Visually Impaired, championed the role of Older People in society, been involved in social care, the NHS and mental health services. He has also been a Coventry City Councilor. Enjoying travel at home and abroad and a lover of the countryside, he supports Alzheimers Society with long distance charity walks; all of which provide him with inspiration for poems, a number of which have been published in The Cannon's Mouth.
