Nothing to say

by Di de Woolfson

Overnight a centrifuge
has spun me to
                        the edge
                                  of reason
                the centre
           falling
away

into its own juices.

When the spinning slows
a few surviving thoughts slip
back into the bowl.

By morning there's nothing left
but a few shreds of indigestible skin.
